We are looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to help us better serve patients in our Greenville, NC office. As the Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for the evaluation of patients, determining plan-of-care and goals of treatment and participating in the treatment of patients within the scope of speech and language pathology.


In order to provide quality patient care that meets regulatory requirements and exceeds patient satisfaction, the Speech Language Pathologist performs the following duties.

  • Performs stroboscopy, FEES, speech therapy/evaluations, voice prosthesis changes, trach care, patient education.
  • Assists physicians with examination and treatment of speech patients.
  • Ensures that all equipment in strobe rooms are clean and properly setup prior to each patient
  • Orders, purchases, and maintains speech therapy materials and supplies.
  • Performs accurate and efficient speech evaluations and testing to assess the patient’s speech.
  • Develops treatment plans and establishes therapy goals for new patients.
  • Completes accurate and thorough chart notes, dictation, strobe reports and letters to referring physicians, insurance companies and patients/families of patients in a timely manner.
  • Returns phone calls to patients, their families and referring physicians promptly.
  • Performs other related speech pathology duties as required.
  • Ensures that all speech equipment is cleaned, disinfected and property setup prior to each patient encounter.
  • Prepares all the reports for availability to physicians. Ensures they are signed off and scanned into EHR/archived to server.


Requirements:

  • Master’s or Doctorate of a Speech and Language Pathology program accredited by the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
