Our client, a premier law firm for tech and life sciences companies, seeks an Audio/Visual Support Specialist to oversee all A/V equipment aspects within the firm. This role involves designing, setting up, maintaining, troubleshooting, and providing end-user support for all audio/visual systems. The Specialist will handle scheduling of audio/visual setups, coordinate projects with IT Support Analysts, and investigate escalated audio/visual issues from the Service Desk team. This will be a night shift from 4pm to 11pm

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all functions related to audio/visual equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, including software/firmware updates, hardware upgrades, and integrating new equipment into existing conference rooms.
  • Coordinate internal meetings/video conferences setup, including laptop setup for presentations.
  • Troubleshoot computer and videoconference equipment malfunctions.
  • Record and edit events as assigned by management.
  • Collaborate with the IT team, especially Service Desk staff, to resolve tickets/issues.
  • Work with various departments on conference and meeting setups.
  • Provide computer, network, and software support via various channels.
  • Install application software based on corporate standards and user requirements.
  • Document activities in the firm's ticketing system.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency in various videoconferencing equipment and computer hardware.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair hardware issues, liaising with vendors when needed.

  • Proficiency in video editing and AV coordination.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including overtime and weekends.
  • Proactive and independent thinker.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or relevant field preferred, with 3+ years of AV and/or computer service experience.
