Siemens OpsCenter Specialist

Job Summary:


As a Siemens OpsCenter Specialist, you will be at the heart of our manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of our Siemens Ops Center portfolio, including OpsCenter Discrete, OpsCenter Intelligence, OpsCenter APS, OpsCenter Execution Discrete, and more. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our manufacturing efficiency, flexibility, and product quality through the strategic implementation and management of Siemens Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Implement, configure, and maintain Siemens OpsCenter applications such as OpsCenter Discrete, Intelligence, APS, Execution Discrete, and Simatic IT, ensuring they align with business requirements and manufacturing processes.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to integrate Siemens MES and MOM solutions with existing systems, enhancing operational visibility, and driving digital transformation.
  • Design and deploy solutions for Intraplane Logistics to streamline material flow and inventory management, leveraging technologies like Camcaster and OpsCenter Core.
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure the stability and security of the OpsCenter environment, including the implementation of GE Proficy and Apriso systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users, empowering them to effectively utilize the OpsCenter platform.
  • Continuously monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and implement upgrades or patches as needed.
  • Lead the development and execution of project plans, manage timelines, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in MES and MOM to recommend improvements and innovations.


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience with Siemens OpsCenter portfolio, including discrete manufacturing, intelligence analytics, advanced planning and scheduling (APS), and execution systems.
  • Familiarity with Siemens MES, Siemens MOM, and related technologies like Simatic IT, Camcaster, OpsCenter Core, GE Proficy, and Apriso
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operational technology (OT) integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility to travel as required for implementation, support, and training purposes.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Certifications or advanced training in Siemens OpsCenter applications.
  • Experience in a similar role within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
  • Knowledge of IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) and digital twin technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages relevant to system integration and automation.
