Responsibilities:

1. Conduct individual therapy sessions to assess and address clients' addiction-related issues, mental health concerns, and underlying emotional factors contributing to their addiction.
2. Facilitate group therapy sessions to provide psychoeducation, support, and encouragement for clients in various stages of recovery.
3. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to clients' specific needs, goals, and stage of recovery.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers, to ensure comprehensive care and coordinated treatment efforts.
5. Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to monitor clients' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and address any emerging challenges or setbacks.
6. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based techniques, to support clients in achieving sustained recovery.
7. Provide crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute mental health crises or substance-related emergencies.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
9. Participate in regular case conferences, team meetings, and clinical supervision sessions to review cases, share insights, and collaborate on client care.
10. Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in addiction treatment and behavioral healthcare, and integrate new knowledge into clinical practice.

Qualifications:

1. Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
2. Licensed in the state of California to practice therapy.
3. Experience working in addiction treatment or substance abuse counseling settings, preferably in an outpatient or residential treatment facility.
4. Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to formulate comprehensive treatment plans based on clients' needs and strengths.
5. Proficiency in delivering individual and group therapy using evidence-based practices, with a compassionate and client-centered approach.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
7. Knowledge of ethical and legal standards governing mental health practice, including confidentiality, informed consent, and mandated reporting requirements.
8. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable mindset to respond to the dynamic needs of clients and the treatment environment.
9. Commitment to ongoing professional development, including continuing education and supervision, to enhance clinical skills and maintain licensure requirements.
