Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Reliability Engineer is responsible for working closely with management to implement and drive programs and strategies to reduce failure rates and implement good practice maintenance strategies and programing for our Mountain Iron location. The Reliability Engineer must be a strong communicator with good interpersonal and organizational skills that will work closely with departments across Production. They will approach their work with a safety focus and ongoing continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with management to implement reliability program and strategies to reduce failure rate (operation – quality).
  • Support maintenance manager in the implementation of maintenance training program and skill development strategies.
  • Implement visual management with operation to reduce operator errors.
  • Implement with operation visual management to measure equipment utilization on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Develop resources on Reliability tools and conduct Root cause Analysis, FMEA with employees.
  • Implement good practices and develop skill to develop efficient maintenance strategies.
  • Implement and manage condition base maintenance strategies and program.
  • Review existing preventive maintenance processes for value to the maintenance effort & propose changes as necessary to improve the reliability of the assets.
  • Support operation in the implementation of autonomous maintenance strategies.



Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in engineering with at least three (3) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High degree of collaboration with both Maintenance and Operations personnel.
  • Analytical, critical thinking and proven problem-solving skills.
  • Experienced in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action systems and follow through.
  • Experience in industrial sites: maintenance of equipment and machinery.
  • Must complete record check and drug screening prior to employment.
