Position Overview:

Junior Gaming Technician is responsible for the installation, service and technical support of electronic equipment, video gaming cabinets, sports betting terminals and cash redemption kiosks. Receive service calls for any SUZOHAPP gaming equipment and help Senior Gaming Technician with the resolution process. Communicate, document or log call history for sales, customer and metric purposes. Position requires intermediate computer skills, solid electrical/electronic know how in troubleshooting equipment and its components. Candidate will need to possess a valid driver’s license and must be able to pass a background screening as a requirement of the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) and other state gaming commissioning bodies.


Will occasionally work with manufacturing operations for special projects as needed.


Essential Job Functions:

• Professionally carry out installation, testing and training activities of any gaming equipment for SUZOHAPP’s in-state or out-of-state gaming customers.

• Handle service calls for equipment failures needing repair, troubleshooting and maintenance; log activities through ticketing system.

• Process equipment returns with returns specialists by documenting, repairing and testing gaming equipment and its peripherals.

• Prepare and configure gaming equipment per customer’s preference; may require some lifting activity.

• Perform in-house repairs, upgrades, conversions, modifications of any gaming equipment according to manufacturer’s service procedure and industry best practices.

• Liaise with Gaming Commission representatives to establish inventories and serial tagging of gaming equipment.

• Thoroughly follow documented work instructions in assembling / preparing gaming equipment.

• Manage and track part inventories for upgrades, repairs and maintenance.

• Demonstrate required level of understanding for gaming devices and constantly work to upgrade personal skillset through gained experience, training and technical evaluations.

• Move machines as needed.

• Prioritize workloads to meet installation / service schedule and shipping demands.


Qualifications/Skills Required:

• Technical Degree (preferably Electrical/ Electronic related) and/or related experience, GED or High School diploma.

• Must be comfortable using hand tools, power tools, computer and multimeter.

• Minimum of 1 year gaming terminal troubleshooting and servicing experience following best practices from IGB or similar regulatory bodies.

• Ability to troubleshoot electrical or software issues with reasonable amount of supervision.

• Demonstrated abilities in understanding technical data for gaming terminals, both hardware and basic computer software.

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Basic knowledge in MS Word and Excel document creation.

• Current Gaming license holder a plus.

• Valid driver’s license required.

• Willingness to travel when required and flexible in handling broken shifts.
