Scala Developer

Location: Onsite (Richmond/McLean/NY/Plano)

Contract Duration: 12 months

Job Description:

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Scala Developer to join our dynamic team for a 12-month onsite contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Scala programming and experience with cloud-based technologies, specifically within the AWS ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications using the Scala programming language.
  • Utilize the ZIO framework to create robust, scalable, and efficient software solutions.
  • Design, implement, and manage AWS-based infrastructures to support application development.
  • Leverage DynamoDB for database management and optimization to ensure high performance and scalability.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Scala programming.
  • Experience with the ZIO framework.
  • Strong understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS), with practical experience in deploying and managing applications.
  • Hands-on experience with DynamoDB, including database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with other AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, and RDS is a plus.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.
