Job Description

  • Design, develop, and update training materials, including presentations, manuals, and hands-on exercises, to effectively convey HVAC concepts and best practices.
  • Deliver engaging and informative training sessions to technicians, installers, and other staff members, both in-person and through virtual platforms.
  • Provide hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises to reinforce theoretical knowledge and ensure proficiency in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the HVAC field, and incorporate relevant updates into training programs.
  • Assess the performance and progress of trainees through quizzes, exams, and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback and additional support as needed.
  • Address trainees' questions, concerns, and challenges related to HVAC systems, troubleshooting issues effectively, and providing clear explanations.
  • Emphasize the importance of safety protocols and procedures during HVAC operations, ensuring that all trainees adhere to industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct training sessions for clients or end-users on the proper use and maintenance of HVAC systems, addressing their specific needs and requirements.
  • Collaborate with management and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in training programs and implement enhancements to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including principles of thermodynamics, refrigeration cycles, air distribution, and control systems.
  • A degree or equivalent in HVAC technology, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience working as an HVAC technician or in a related field, with a minimum of Five years of practical experience.
  • Prior experience in delivering technical training or educational programs, preferably in the HVAC industry.
  • Possession of relevant certifications such as EPA 608 certification, NATE certification, or HVAC Excellence certification is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Strong teaching and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate trainees of varying backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to troubleshoot HVAC issues and effectively address trainees' questions and concerns.
  • Flexibility to adapt training methods and materials to suit the needs of different audiences and accommodate changes in technology or industry regulations.
