Fiber Technician

Job Summary:

Are you an experienced Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Technician looking for a new opportunity? We have an exciting position available for a skilled and motivated individual to join our team. This full-time role focuses on delivering high-quality fiber optic services to residential customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Maintenance: Execute fiber optic installations, splicing, and troubleshooting in residential settings, ensuring reliable and high-speed fiber services.
• Network Testing and Optimization: Conduct thorough testing and quality checks to ensure optimal network performance, promptly identifying and resolving issues.
• Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with customers, addressing inquiries and providing education on FTTH services to ensure satisfaction.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, providing timely updates to the supervisor.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment, following industry best practices for fiber optic networks.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in Fiber-to-the-Home installations, splicing, and maintenance. Strong understanding of fiber optic technology and equipment.
• Transportation: Must possess a reliable work truck or van capable of carrying a 28-foot telecom ladder, well-maintained and meeting safety standards.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in using fiber optic testing equipment and tools, with familiarity in industry standards and best practices for FTTH installations.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently with strong attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and work effectively in a team.
• Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
• Legal Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship is provided.
