Tableau Architect

Location: Plainsboro, NJ (3 days/week)


Role Summary

The Tableau Architect will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced data visualization solutions using Tableau. They will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure the effective delivery of data-driven insights.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data visualization strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Define standards, guidelines, and best practices for Tableau development.
  • Ensure consistent and effective use of Tableau across the organization.
  • Design and architect scalable and efficient Tableau dashboards and reports.
  • Optimize Tableau performance and query efficiency.
  • Integrate Tableau with other data sources and systems.
  • Create and maintain data models that support complex data analysis and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
  • Develop and deliver custom Tableau-based business intelligence solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Provide training and support to users on Tableau tools and techniques.
  • Foster a data-driven culture within the organization.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Tableau Architect or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Tableau development, including data modeling, visualization techniques, and dashboard design.
  • In-depth knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience with data visualization best practices and storytelling techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a related field.
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL).
