Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as an Athletic Trainer at John Jay Cross River High School located in Cross River, NY. Currently contracted through AON PT and Wellness. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for providing preventive and rehabilitative services to student-athletes. They will assess and treat athletic injuries, develop treatment plans, and provide guidance on injury prevention and performance enhancement. The Athletic Trainer will also collaborate with coaches, medical professionals, and parents to ensure the overall health and well-being of student-athletes.
Travel with away football games and all playoff games when feasibleRequired to cover Saturday games and practicesAssist in maintenance and record keepinf of AEDs
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related fieldCertification by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC)Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the state of New YorkKnowledge of sports medicine principles and practicesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work well in a team environmentExperience working with student-athletes or in a similar setting is preferred
