Project Engineer

The position of Project Engineer is to provide a support function to the Project Manager.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Review specs and identify all required submittals, prepare submittal log/schedule and communicate scope changes
  • Manage the submittal review process per the CPM schedule & sub schedule
  • Coordinate job site set up and develop site logistics plan
  • Review field inspection reports and communicate deficiencies to supervisor & PM.
  • Responsible for record drawings, create and maintain document control logs to track documents
  • Track weekly trade performance against project schedule, review delay log to ensure trade delays have been incorporated into schedule and provide team update
  • Promote safety during the performance of all daily project responsibilities
  • Track and perform jobsite safety meetings, participate in safety meetings, present safety topic, maintain attendance log and binder.
  • Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Assist with job progression documentation (2 week look ahead).
  • Preparation of meeting minutes, agendas and other documents as instructed.
  • Develop high proficiency in Procore and make recommendations on better implementation of Procore Software Tools.
  • Work on completing an OSHA 10 course
  • Attend Jobsite meetings as needed
  • Miscellaneous project specific requirements as needed or assigned.
  • Schedule and attend all pre-con meetings as required per subcontractor trade.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
