The Developer Link are searching for a Cyber Security Specialist to join a company based in New Castle. The role will involve proactively identifying and mitigating security threats to the organization's operations, employees, customers, and vendors.


Reporting to the Director of ITS, the role involves creating a comprehensive data security program, developing security protocols, analyzing systems for vulnerabilities, and managing responses to cyberattacks.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Safeguarding information systems and defining access privileges.
  • Implementing and maintaining the Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan.
  • Conducting audits and upgrading security systems.
  • Collaborating with vendors and ensuring effective monitoring of security events.
  • Developing scripts for logging and alerting, and assisting in the configuration of intrusion detection systems.


Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, 2-5 years in Cyber Security, and relevant certifications (CISSP or CompTIA Security+).


Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills are essential, along with a commitment to high ethical standards.


The position is onsite in New Castle, may involve some travel to other company offices in the US, and salary is $95-115k.


The position is subject to 24/7 on-call availability in the event of a cyber security incident.
