Location: Hybrid in McLean VA (2-3x onsite weekly)

Duration: 3 month initial contract, potential to extend

Pay Range: $50.00 - $60.00/hr based on experience


Job Description:

The Senior Business Process Analyst will join our client's team in the marketing & loyalty department to optimize critical business processes at various levels of detail.

You will document and analyze processes across Marketing and Loyalty, supporting operational excellence, digital transformation, and marketing execution efforts. Day-to-day, you will analyze, document, and refine processes to support cross-functional collaboration.


Duties:

  • Document processes: Create clear, concise documentation at varying levels of detail, including workflows and process maps. Schedule and facilitate meetings with process SME stakeholders, collect notes, and follow up with teams to clarify or prepare for leadership review if there are gaps or misalignments.
  • Develop training materials: Maintain comprehensive process guides and training resources to support the needs of different teams. Ensure that documentation is current, accessible, and aids in effective process execution.
  • Analyze and optimize: Conduct in-depth reviews of existing processes within Marketing and Loyalty to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Propose actionable solutions to enhance productivity and streamline operations.
  • Ensure clarity and detail: Maintain detailed, accurate process documentation at various levels of detail to facilitate process automation and workflow enhancements. Verify that processes are understandable and executable across teams.
  • Collaborate and communicate: Build strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and internal teams. Keep leadership and stakeholders informed of project and process progress, potential issues, and risks through clear and consistent communication.
  • Align with brand and strategy: Uphold a strong understanding of brand guidelines and competitive landscapes to ensure processes align with strategic goals, departmental objective, and creative aesthetics
  • Support process improvement: Drive continuous improvement across end-to-end processes by working cross-functionally and advocating for best practices and standardized processes across departments

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in process optimization and analysis: Proven track record in optimizing and analyzing business processes, especially within Marketing and Loyalty departments.
  • Strong documentation skills: Expertise in clear, concise documentation at varying levels, including process maps and training resources.
  • Experience with process and workflow documentation tools: Proficiency with tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, Signavio, and Bizagi.
  • Stakeholder interview facilitation: Ability to schedule, facilitate, and collect notes from stakeholder meetings with SMEs. Leads follow-up efforts for clarity and resolving decision points.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: Proficient in innovative problem-solving to enhance productivity and streamline operations.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Experience collaborating with various teams, including Global Brand Management, Content Media & Partnerships, and Co-Brand Business Units.
  • Attention to detail and clarity: Strong focus on maintaining detailed, accurate process documentation to ensure processes are clear and executable.
  • Communication and relationship-building: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of professional experience in process documentation, analysis, or related roles, preferably within Marketing departments
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience with process and workflow documentation tools
  • Proven experience working on business process documentation and improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage detailed project plans, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Strong judgment, professionalism, and a solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to express ideas concisely.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: BA/BS in Business Administration, Operations Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • Experience in business process consulting or process improvement within Marketing and Loyalty.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization.
