Instrumentation & Controls Technician (I&C)

A leading Pharmaceuticals CDMO in North Carolina is in need of a team of Instrumentation & Control Technicians for a project that will go for at least 12 months (there is potential for extension). The project must be completed while working onsite in Holly Springs, the Technicians must be available for 1st shift (7am-3pm ET), and availability for 2nd shift (2-10pm) and weekends is preferred. This team will be instrumental in getting this new site up and running, the Technicians will be supporting a range of equipment: bioreactors, scales, balances, Chromatography skids, packaging equipment, etc.

Project Duties:

  • Troubleshooting, repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance of all site equipment, systems, process measurement and control, utility, laboratory, and bench-top instrumentation.
  • Calibrate instrumentation and controls
  • Follow SOPs to ensure compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) quality standards
  • Perform loop checks for new instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
  • Assist with and perform lock out tag out (LOTO) as required to complete I&C/Metrology activities
  • Notify management or EH&S when unsafe conditions or hazards are found
  • Support site operations and emergency work orders during off-hours, as needed

Top Requirements:

  • 5+ years of I&C experience
  • High School Diploma/GED minimum requirement
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred
  • Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting I&C
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS), such as ProCalV5, Blue Mountain, Maximo, Infor EAM, etc. is preferred
