Pediatric nurses play a role in both urgent care and proactive health and wellness. As an integral part of the healthcare team, they take detailed health assessments, take blood and urine samples, asses vitals, and much more. Pediatric nurses work alongside practitioners to assist in interpreting medical tests for diagnosis and treatment plans needed to care for patients.
Responsibilities
Performs in-office diagnostic testing (e.g., strep tests, flu tests, UA)
Administers Vaccines following the AAP Guidelines
Completes extensive intake on patient with accurate documentation into EMR/Athena
Performs accurate vitals including height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, etc.
Other duties, as appropriate for role.
Qualifications
Current state license to practice as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
Prefer previous pediatric office experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
