The VP Operations is a member of the executive team responsible for overseeing the strategy and operational execution, and continuous improvement planning for our Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Operations and overall Food Safety and Quality, ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of our organization. This role plays a critical part in guiding our strategic operations and driving the company's growth and success, properly linking all parts of the business together including the partnering of Food Innovation, Sales, Marketing and general Customer Account Management.


The VP Operations provides the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures to grow La Boulangerie Shaw Bakers and protect financial strength and operating efficiency. This will be achieved through a respectful, collaborative and energetic style, guided by our company goals and objectives. The role has ultimate responsibility to ensure we meet specific growth and margin objectives for shareholders and, that Shaw is seen as one of the most successful bakery, manufacturer and consumer products companies among competitors.


The VP will be primarily internally facing, responsible for design, implementation and profitability of all assigned functional department offerings, distinguishing the company as a leader in its industry. The role directly manages functional leaders that drive the build-out of all operations from philosophy to strategic deliverables, to profitable pricing structure, and organizational talent and leadership planning and development. This VP serves as a relentless solutions-oriented driver of business analysis and continual process and quality improvement at Shaw Bakers.

What You’ll Need:

· Bachelor's degree in business administration, management or related field.

· MBA highly preferred.

· Minimum of 15 years’ experience in a complex manufacturing operational environment, with progressively increasing responsibilities.

· 7+ years successfully hiring and developing leaders.

· Ability to partner with and present effectively to board level investment group and holding company executives.

· Proven experience in multi-plant operations is highly desirable.

· Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.

· Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

· Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.

· Advanced technical and data report writing skills (Microsoft Office, ERP systems management project management software management).

· Financial acumen and oven track record managing growth, margin management and overall large-scale budgets and resources management.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Estimated 40% travel across plant facilities, both are located within the San Francisco Bay Area (South San Francisco and San Leandro)
