What We Are Looking For.

Butcher Power Products (BPP) is a rapidly expanding manufacturing company seeking a talented individual with experience in designing UL891 Low Voltage Switchboards & Switchgear for a full-time, preferably on-site position. The ideal candidate will leverage their design expertise and effectively collaborate with the team to achieve project goals. This role involves continuous interaction with all project team members and is responsible for identifying, planning, and implementing various scopes of work..


Key Responsibilities:


  • Interpret electrical/mechanical design drawings and specifications

  • Design and develop 3D models of UL891 Low Voltage Switchboards & Switchgears

  • Understand and apply applicable NEC, ANSI, UL, and other relevant standards

  • Create and modify 2D & 3D drawing sets


  • Ensure adherence to standard design and drawing procedures

  • Prepare component manufacturing drawings for production

  • Prepare installation manuals and arrangement drawings

  • Provide manufacturing and assembly input

  • Contribute to the design of product prototypes and final product designs



Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Over 5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical engineering and/or switchboard/switchgear design

  • Diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

  • Proficient in Autodesk Inventor

  • Experience with 3D modeling and creating manufacturing drawings

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workload and meet project deadlines
