Position Overview:

Wausau Coated Products is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant with a digital marketing focus to join our Marketing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and updating marketing collateral, assisting with trade show management, and supporting digital marketing initiatives under the guidance of the Marketing Project Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Collateral Management: Oversee the updates and distribution of marketing materials such as product stock list updates, product bulletins, and brochures/chip chart to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Trade Show Assistance: Assist in all aspects of trade show planning and execution, including logistics, booth setup, and promotional materials preparation.
  • Promotional Inventory and Order Management: Maintain accurate inventory of promotional items and manage the ordering process to ensure timely availability for events and tradeshows.
  • Social Media Management:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand visibility and traffic across all platforms including but not limited to Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and Google My Business Page.
  • Create and schedule daily posts, engage with followers, manage community interactions, and track social media trends to ensure strategies are relevant and effective.
  • Analyze performance metrics to adjust strategies as needed.
  • Email Marketing Management: Design and management of email marketing campaigns, including content creation, imagery, and performance analysis.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with various supportive tasks related to the Marketing Communications function as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marketing, with exposure to digital marketing preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and graphic design & digital marketing tools/platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite, social media scheduling tools).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and email marketing software.
  • Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
