We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SAP Tester to join our team. The SAP Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of SAP applications through rigorous testing and validation processes. This role involves working closely with developers, business analysts, and end-users to identify and resolve issues, ensuring that SAP systems meet business requirements and operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning and Strategy:
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Define testing strategies for different phases of the SAP project lifecycle, including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Test Execution:
  • Execute manual and automated test cases for SAP modules (e.g., SAP FI, SAP MM, SAP SD).
  • Perform regression testing to ensure new functionality does not adversely affect existing functionality.
  • Record and document test results, comparing actual results with expected outcomes.
  • Defect Management:
  • Identify, log, and track defects using test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
  • Work closely with developers to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve issues.
  • Retest resolved defects to ensure they have been fixed correctly.
  • Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, business analysts, and end-users to ensure a thorough understanding of business and technical requirements.
  • Participate in requirement reviews and provide input from a testing perspective.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by assisting end-users and providing necessary documentation and guidance.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, test results, and defect reports.
  • Generate and present test summary reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Stay updated with the latest SAP releases, enhancements, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience in SAP testing, including manual and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with SAP modules (e.g., SAP FI, SAP MM, SAP SD) and their business processes.
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, techniques, and tools.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., SAP TAO, Worksoft Certify) is a plus.
  • Understanding of SAP architecture and integration points.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

Preferred Certifications:

  • ISTQB Certified Tester
  • SAP Certification in relevant modules
