Position Overview: Regional Manager of NYX South Plant Operations will have direct oversight of regional plant operations, focusing on both financial and operational performance. Plant Managers within the region will report directly to this position. This role involves comprehensive engagement in monitoring all phases of operations and driving continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the operational and financial performance of regional plant operations.
  • Ensure alignment with corporate strategic goals, customer strategy, and product strategy.
  • Oversee daily monitoring and follow-up on key operational metrics including quality, materials management, safety, and planning.
  • Utilize key data and open issue trackers to maximize plant performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety across all plants.
  • Foster a positive and proactive culture within the plants, encouraging engagement and collaboration among plant teams.
  • Engage with customers to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify potential risks within plant operations and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Promote and implement continuous improvement and technology initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in strategic planning based on corporate goals and ensure alignment with regional plant operations.
  • Provide oversight for program and product launches, ensuring successful and timely implementation.
  • Develop and execute an effective inventory management strategy to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
  • Implement and maintain 5S methodologies to ensure organized and efficient work environments.
  • Establish and lead weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly meetings with plant teams to ensure full engagement and effective monitoring of key operational elements.
  • Report weekly to the VP of Manufacturing on macro-level KPIs, key actions, updates on strategic initiatives, safety, customer concerns, operational changes, and financial initiatives/challenges.
  • Participate in corporate meetings, including financial reviews, program management/launch reviews, capacity reviews, and budget preparation and development.
  • Coordinate with other Directors and VPs as required.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing plant operations, with a strong focus on financial and operational performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and technology initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster a collaborative and goal-oriented culture.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with customers and manage risk.


This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful operation and strategic alignment of the NYX South Plant Operations with corporate objectives. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong track record in operational management and continuous improvement.
