We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer with a strong background in firewall engineering to join our team for a critical segmentation project. This role involves separating the Central Monitoring Center (CMC), including vital Life Safety areas, from the broader corporate network to enhance security and operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with AT&T as a key project partner, ensuring the successful implementation of secure network segments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of network segmentation for the CMC, focusing on isolating crucial Life Safety systems from the corporate network.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls to ensure optimal security and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners (AT&T) to align project goals and deliverables.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain documentation for all configurations, processes, and changes.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Security Engineer with a focus on firewall management and network security.
  • Strong proficiency in Cisco firewalls (required).
  • Hands-on experience with FortiGate, SolarWinds, and Tufin (preferred).
  • Proven track record of working on complex network security projects, especially in environments with high stakes like Life Safety systems.
  • Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
