Role Overview:
As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will oversee engineering projects and teams, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery. Your role will involve managing technical processes, supporting new product introductions, and collaborating with various departments to maintain and enhance manufacturing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication and Professionalism:
o Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, customers, and stakeholders.
o Maintain organization and professionalism, adapting to various instructions and tasks.
Technical Management:
o Oversee document control and project management, ensuring timely completion.
o Manage SMT equipment, including programming and troubleshooting.
o Interpret x-ray images and manage reflow profiles.
o Utilize AutoCAD or SolidWorks for design and debugging.
o Conduct defect review and root cause analysis.
Technology Development:
o Assist in researching industry trends and establishing technology roadmaps.
o Monitor market requirements and technological impacts.
Sales & Customer Support:
o Partner with the sales team and provide technical support during the prospecting process.
o Contribute to quoting processes and manage client relationships.
New Product Introduction:
o Support documentation control and new product processes.
o Ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Operations Support:
o Assist with new equipment selection and validation planning.
o Provide technical support to manufacturing engineering teams.
Qualifications:
Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
o Minimum of 10 years in electronic manufacturing services, with at least 5 years in new product introductions.
o Extensive knowledge of SMT manufacturing and PCBA processes.
o Client/customer facing experience required.
Skills:
o Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
o Experience with PCB design and CAD tools (Valor, Cadence, Cam 350, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
o Lean/Six Sigma experience; Black Belt certification preferred.
o Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
o Experience in regulated industries (aerospace, defense, medical device) preferred.
Language and Mathematical Skills:
Ability to read and write in English, perform basic mathematical operations, and understand instructions.
