Reports To:           Director of Quality Control

SUMMARY

Responsible for monitoring and improving the quality of our operational processes and outputs.  Responsible for designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs inspections and sets quality assurance testing models for analysis of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products.
  • Assists in developing quality control policies and evaluates production limitations.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree. Preferably in Electical Engineering.
  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
  • Typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.
  • Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
  • Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.

·      Scheduling

·      Developing and implementing quality standards.

·      Developing and implementing quality control systems.

·      Monitoring and analyzing quality performance.

·      Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.

·      Collaborating with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements.

·      Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.

·      Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.

·      Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.

·      Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes.

·      Conducts internal & external audits.

·      Supply Chain Performance and evaluation program.

·      Assists in investigating & disposition root cause analysis, CAPA, and RMA.

·      Assists with the In-house training programs.

·      Assists with safety programs.

·      Monitors Calibration programs.

·      Assists with new product projects.

·      Assist in interpreting specifications, blueprints, and manufacturing plans.

·      Assists in the performance of First Article Inspections.

·      Answers surveys.

·      Aid in new company endeavors by providing engineering support.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Requires a bachelor's degree.

or one or more years of related experience and/or training in the field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with AS9100, 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Station.

5 or more years of aerospace experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.   Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
