POSITION: Graphic Designer, Luxury Optical Holdings (Retail)

 

We are looking for a profressional Graphic Designer to join the Marketing/Brand team that drives our Retail brands & businesses. This role is integral in creating beautiful, effective assets that define our luxury eyewear experiences across all channels & touchpoints including in-store, online, at tradeshows / events and at our corporate office.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·     Concept, create and deliver effective creative marketing ideas & designs including seasonal campaigns, digital/print assets for retail and wholesale, retail signage, packaging, advertising, email campaigns, websites, retail windows, trade shows, social media, press and sales collateral—leading the design process from ideation to creative development to execution.

o  Ideation includes:

§ Concept presentations with idea write ups and any reference images or examples need to communicate the idea to internal stakeholders. Must support business objectives and relevant contextual realities like consumer insights, retail insights, market insights, competitive insights, media and best practices.

o  Creative development includes:

§ Understanding of branding strategy

§ Elevated & impeccable design standards

§ Strong understanding of how to hero product in various contexts (product shots, in-situation, on-model) from an art direction, design and photography standpoint.

§ Excellent typographic skills.

§ Strong attention to detail around each aspect of the customer experience.

o  Execution includes:

§ Well versed in production processes and technical specifications.

§ Manage release of assets and proof review process

§ Provide final approval to ensure the highest integrity for the final work

§ Manage communications around deliveries and internal expectation management

·     Fluent in design, fashion, tech and retail trends, as well as visual history.

·     Work closely with internal teams to translate projects and needs into actionable creative solutions.

·     Develop a strong understanding of the Morgenthal Frederics and ROBERT MARC NYC brands, products, and audiences in order to maximize visual communication.

·     Work with agencies, outside contractors, photographers, videographers, etc. on creative projects

·     Opportunity to shoot original content for owned social channels.

·     Evolve brand guidelines, develop digital guidelines and creative templates, and uphold established creative standards and brand consistency across all projects and corporate departments.

 

SKILLS:

·     Understands visual/design best practices and industry standards/trends

·     Experience driving results within omni-channel Retail space

·     Extremely detail oriented, organized and capable of managing creative assets, photos, etc.

·     Motivated self-starter with a no-task-too-big-or-too-small attitude, comfortable with handling multiple priorities at once.

·     Solutions-oriented thinker flexible to time constraints and the needs of a fast-paced, small office environment.

·     Able to communicate effectively on project management needs and timelines.

·     Able to present the work, ideas and design decisions.

·     A champion of great design.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·     3-5 years of experience

·     Highly proficient in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator).

·     Working knowledge of video editing and animation software like AfterEffects.

·     Proficient in photography.

·     Portfolio of work featuring both print and digital, showing mastery of visual communication and an elevated, luxury aesthetic.

·     Knowledge of web design program a plus

·     Illustration experience a plus
