Process Improvement Engineer / Continuous Improvement Engineer / Operational Excellence Engineer is required to lead operational improvement initiatives across multiple rotating equipment manufacturing and repair facilities throughout the Houston area.

This position is ideal for an experienced manufacturing improvement professional who can deliver measurable improvements across safety, quality, cost, and delivery. You will manage capital projects, support the integration of newly acquired facilities, implement digital process improvement tools, and help transition traditional repair shops into structured manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead sustainable improvement initiatives across safety, quality, cost, delivery, and operational efficiency.

• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, root cause analysis, and change-management principles.

• Develop operational excellence road maps for rotating equipment manufacturing and repair facilities.

• Monitor plant performance metrics and identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve productivity, and strengthen product quality.

• Maintain the Kaizen event pipeline, including planning, cross-functional involvement, implementation, and post-event sustainment.

• Standardize and update procedures following improvement projects and Kaizen events.

• Plan, manage, and deliver capital projects across multiple departments and locations.

• Ensure projects are completed in line with strategic objectives, budgets, and agreed timelines.

• Support the integration of newly acquired facilities, including process alignment, technology adoption, and operational standardization.

• Lead initiatives to transition repair-focused shops into structured manufacturing facilities.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver measurable project outcomes.

• Design, develop, and support Microsoft Power Platform solutions.

• Build model-driven and canvas Power Apps to improve operational processes.

• Develop Power Automate workflows to streamline administrative and manufacturing activities.

• Create Power BI dashboards for operational reporting, performance monitoring, and executive visibility.

• Support the implementation of digital tools and artificial intelligence across manufacturing operations.

• Provide hands-on and classroom-based training in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Coach team leaders, operators, and management teams in the practical application of improvement tools.

• Influence employees at all levels, from the shop floor through to executive leadership.

• Mentor employees participating in continuous improvement projects.

• Prepare and deliver project reports, performance updates, and presentations to site and executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or another relevant four-year discipline.

• 3–5 years of experience within manufacturing, operational excellence, process improvement, or continuous improvement.

• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering measurable operational improvements.

• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent formal continuous improvement training is preferred.

• Experience managing capital projects within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.

• Experience integrating newly acquired facilities or standardizing operations across multiple locations is preferred.

• Ability to train, coach, and influence employees without direct authority.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, quality management systems, and manufacturing health and safety practices is advantageous.

• Experience implementing artificial intelligence or digital manufacturing solutions is preferred.
