Job Title: Mechanical Drafter/Technician

Location: Neenah, WI

Job type and Duration: Contract to Hire


Our client, a global Architecture and Design Firm, is looking to hire a Mechanical Drafter to join their team in Neenah, WI.


The Mechanical Drafter will draft detailed pipe fabrication drawings for projects within the pipe fabrication department.

  • Use AutoCAD to prepare fabrication drawings of piping from data submitted by customers and their engineers.
  • Create readable drawings for the shop to use.
  • Calculate dimensions, allowances, and technical specifications involved in accordance with established practices.
  • Compile bills of materials and specification sheets.
  • Compose RFI's to ensure all specifications or drawings are correct and understood.
  • Collaborate with designers on new and special work.
  • May check drawings as needed.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma/GED is Required.
  • Basic knowledge of piping fabrication is required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • 1 year of pipe drafting experience is Preferred.
  • AutoCAD or CAD experience desired.
  • SpoolFab or Acorn software knowledge is desired.
  • 3-D design visualization desired.
  • Mechanical background desired to assist in understanding spool drawings.
