Job Summary: The ideal candidate will be a seasoned civil attorney with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. The candidate must be licensed to practice law in Texas and possess a strong track record in handling a variety of civil litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation cases.
  • Handle real estate litigation, including disputes over property rights and transactions.
  • Address cases involving fraud, breach of contract, and negligence.
  • Manage usury claims and disputes involving excessive interest charges.
  • Resolve partnership and shareholder disputes.
  • Conduct business litigation, including cases involving trade secrets and other commercial issues.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and develop litigation strategies.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Engage in discovery processes, including depositions and interrogatories.
  • Represent clients in court, mediation, and arbitration proceedings.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Texas.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in civil litigation.
  • Proven experience in plaintiff and defendant representation.
  • Strong background in real estate litigation, fraud, breach of contract, and negligence.
  • Experience with usury claims and partnership/shareholder disputes.
  • Expertise in business litigation and trade secrets.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong courtroom presence and trial experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Texas-specific civil laws and procedures.
  • Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods.
