The successful applicant will demonstrate a deep understanding of trial procedures, insurance defense, and litigation strategy.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Manage a caseload of general liability and automobile liability insurance defense cases from inception through resolution. This includes case assessment, discovery, pre-trial motions, trial preparation, and post-trial motions.
  • Trial Preparation: Develop and implement effective trial strategies, including preparing and presenting evidence, conducting witness examinations, and delivering compelling arguments in court.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates, discuss legal strategies, and manage client expectations.
  • Legal Research and Writing: Conduct thorough legal research to support case arguments, draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents, and prepare detailed case analyses.
  • Settlement Negotiations: Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with all legal procedures and maintain accurate and up-to-date case documentation and records.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with paralegals, legal assistants, and other team members to ensure effective case management and achieve optimal results.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensing: Member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a trial attorney with a focus on general liability and automobile liability insurance defense cases.
  • Proven experience taking at least 10 cases to trial.

  • Strong trial advocacy skills with a demonstrated ability to present complex cases effectively.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
