Summary:

As a Senior Network Engineer with Robert Half, you'll play a vital role in shaping our organization's IT future. You'll design, configure, and manage our network infrastructure, ensuring robust security, optimal performance, and scalability to support our growth. Partnering with internal and external stakeholders, you'll be a key player in delivering innovative network solutions.

What You'll Do:

  • Be a network design strategist, recommending configurations that meet user needs, department standards, and future scalability.
  • Implement and maintain core network components (routers, firewalls, servers) for seamless network operation.
  • Optimize network performance and reliability, balancing efficiency with cost-effectiveness.
  • Proactively maintain LANs and WANs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Safeguard the network with robust security practices, including user access control and threat protection strategies.
  • Collaborate with telecom engineers to support voice, data, and video applications.
  • Evaluate new technologies and equipment for network compatibility and integration.
  • Document network configurations and keep technical resources updated.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex desktop issues, leveraging your advanced technical expertise.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement IT security solutions.
  • Stay at the forefront of the IT industry by actively learning new technologies and techniques.

You're a Perfect Fit If You Have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a Network Engineer in an enterprise-level environment (Robert Half can help find your perfect fit).
  • Strong understanding of network design principles and best practices.
  • CCNP certification (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven expertise with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls (3+ years).
  • Familiarity with F5 technology or similar load balancers (1+ year).
  • In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
  • Experience with Voice over IP technologies (H.323, SIP, MGCP, SCCP).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
