We are seeking a talented QA professional for a full-time permanent role with our client, a successful and respected Software Services and Solutions organization in Columbia SC If you have a strong background in software development, a passion for QA, and QA team leadership experience and are ready to take that next step in your career as QA Manager where you would be part of shaping processes and building the QA team, this may be the place for you


**This is a Full-Time direct hire position. No C2C or 3rd party candidates.


**This position is primarily onsite at this client’s office in Columbia SC. Only local candidates or those within a comfortable commuting distance (or willing to relocate for this position) to Columbia SC should apply.


What you will do in this role:


  • Expertise: Be a technical expert in enterprise software testing, with the ability to define processes, select appropriate tools, and drive continuous improvement in QA practices.
  • Ownership: Take complete ownership of defining, measuring, and improving software quality throughout the software development lifecycle, with a focus on mission-critical software.
  • and Mentoring: Lead and mentor a small team of QA engineers, driving their professional growth, fostering a culture of quality, and increasing internal efficiency.
  • Background: Leverage your strong technical background to understand the software lifecycle and apply your expertise to develop, refine, and implement QA processes.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams, including software development, support, and professional services, to understand customer use cases and improve testing strategies.
  • Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in modern QA tools, particularly those facilitating automated regression testing, and implement these tools and associated processes effectively.
  • Methodologies: Apply Agile methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of QA processes.

Software Product Transition: Define criteria for software products to transition from engineering to QA and from QA to the field.


Education/Skills Requirements:

  • or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. •
  • experience as a Senior Software Quality Architect or a similar hands-on QA role in mission-critical software environments.
  • background in software development with a passion for QA.
  • knowledge of QA methodologies, processes, and best practices.
  • experience in small team leadership, process development, and process improvement.
  • understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • communication and collaboration skills.
