Job Title: Project Manager – Project Lead (8999) Work Location: Columbia, SC 29201 Work Type: 100% Remote (Candidate must be a current SC resident) Contract Duration: 12 Months Possibility of Extension: Yes Interview Process: 1 Round – VirtualDaily Duties / ResponsibilitiesUnder limited supervision, the Project Manager will manage all tasks associated with one or more small-to-large projects (or components of larger efforts). This is an individual contributor role with no HR management responsibilities.Key duties include:Follow established SDLC processes within Medicaid IT Services.Develop and maintain all project documentation throughout the lifecycle.Manage initiation, planning, execution, control, and closeout activities for assigned projects.Coordinate and manage projects using approved project management methodologies.Develop detailed work plans and maintain project roadmaps.Control project scope and schedule to meet deliverables, milestones, and deadlines.Oversee and execute the communication plan.Prepare status reports and present updates to stakeholders, sponsors, and leadership.Identify risks and issues; develop and implement mitigation strategies.Facilitate problem resolution and support decision-making.Build and foster a collaborative, high-performing project team environment.Work within Change Management and Release Management structures for system implementations.Create and maintain dashboards (Power BI or equivalent) for project reporting.Write process documentation, gather stakeholder feedback, and present findings to senior leadership.Work beyond 40 hours per week when needed, including possible weekends.Required SkillsPMP Certification6+ years of experience as a Project Manager4+ years of experience with Power BI3+ years of experience with Mainframe and distributed systemsStrong organizational, analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skillsExperience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, Project, Project Web App, TeamsAbility to work effectively in a stressful, fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAdaptability, flexibility, time management, and self-motivationPreferred SkillsExperience with Healthcare Claims ProcessingExperience with Incident and Change ManagementExperience with Process Development and Management
