Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as an Information Security Engineer. This role involves a range of responsibilities aimed at enhancing the security posture of our organization while supporting the development and implementation of robust cybersecurity solutions. Below are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this position:


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of secure Azure cloud solutions, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with departmental colleagues to ensure the security of our systems and data.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to management on cybersecurity matters, contributing to the design and architecture of effective cybersecurity solutions.
  • Stay updated on relevant regulatory and compliance requirements and emerging threats in the cybersecurity landscape.
  • Offer engineering support for IT projects, including evaluating and integrating new cybersecurity technologies and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Collaborate with IT Operations, Engineering, and Architecture teams to align system configurations with business objectives and security standards.
  • Identify and address cybersecurity issues, evaluating alternatives and implementing effective solutions.
  • Provide senior-level expertise on cyber threats, solutions, and architectures.
  • Implement technologies and processes to prevent data and intellectual property loss, as well as service interruptions.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to security incidents as part of incident response plans.
  • Conduct risk assessments and testing of data processing systems.
  • Install, update, and configure security infrastructure and measures.


Qualification Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology-related field is preferred.
  • Technical certification in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google) and security certifications are advantageous.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • Proficiency in architecting solutions within cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or OCI.
  • Experience designing and implementing Microsoft Security solutions, including Microsoft 365 Defender and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
  • Familiarity with complex cybersecurity environments and solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies and microservices.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Azure components, networking, compute, storage, managed services, and well-architected framework.
  • Proficiency in Python, Powershell, and Terraform.
  • Expertise in Azure Active Directory and related technologies like Conditional Access and Identity Protection.
  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively and solve problems under pressure.
  • Aptitude for communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences, from management to technical teams.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
