We are looking to add an IT support technician to our rapidly growing company in our IT department located in Holbrook NY

IT Support Technician Job description


Job Responsibilities:

·       Assist in the day-to-day activities in the IT department

·       Help with the Setup and deployment of hardware for new locations

·       Configure and test equipment prior to deploying

·       Answer tickets being assigned within the designated SLA time

·       Escalate tickets as needed to more senior members of the team

·       Write technical documents for non-technical staff

·       Add to the catalog of standard problems and solutions for the IT department

·       Reach out to vendors and ISPs when needed to resolve onsite issues.


Job Qualifications:

·       Possess excellent customer service skills

·       Have experience working Active Directory

·       Knowledge of managing user accounts in a hybrid Office 365 environment

·       Be able to work well in a team with onsite and remote team members

·       Prioritizing time sensitive issues and multitasking in a corporate environment

·       Write step by step guides for non-technical and technical employees

·       Have a year or more working in a helpdesk environment

·       Knowledge of the OSI 7-layer TCP/IP networking model

·       Experience with different Wireless devices IOS and android

·       Be a team player with a positive attitude

·       Ability to work a flexible schedule Tuesday – Saturday most weeks.

·       Knowledge of networking equipment such as routers, firewalls, and switches

·       Experience supporting Ophthalmic equipment a plus - deploy 5-10 a month minimum

·       Lifting of equipment daily and other duties as assigned by the Director of IT

·
