Amundsen Davis, a full-service business law firm, is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join a strong team and an excellent firm culture Candidates should have experience supporting legal teams in a sophisticated and complex healthcare or litigation practice.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drafting and filing pleadings.
  • Preparing and editing discovery, exhibits, and other legal documents.
  • Scheduling meetings and depositions with appropriate detail.
  • Calendaring and tracking case and other deadlines.
  • Document and file organization, document creation, conversion and formatting.
  • Preparing expenses, conflict checks, opening new matters, processing mail, editing/drafting engagement letters and other administrative duties.


Required Competencies, Education and Experience

  • Qualified candidates will have at least 5-10 years’ experience as a legal secretary and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and document management systems.
  • The candidate should be confident, highly organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented.
  • Candidates should demonstrate an ability to be proactive, assertive, and willing to work independently and collaboratively with other legal assistants, paralegals, and attorneys to meet deadlines and provide excellent internal and external client service.
  • Candidates should be able to communicate clearly and concisely with a solution oriented approach.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
