The Manufacturing Engineer will utilize his/her's knowledge of manufacturing and welding processes to increase efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct studies to determine corrective measures
  • Plan, organize and implement procedures and systems to enhance manufacturing efficiency, safety and quality
  • Asses the production process to determine optimal work flow and product consistency
  • Implement Lean concepts throughout the manufacturing process to include, 5S, Visual Work, Kanban, etc.
  • Work with Human Resources to create a technical training program for production employees
  • Ensure both new product introductions and changes to current products are properly communicated to all parties
  • Coordinate with various departments for technical information needed for projects
  • Identify and manage equipment improvements related to capital budget
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in either Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering experience
  • Experience with welding processes
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, ProE, Inventor or SolidWorks
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban and 5S
