Our client, a distinguished leader in the construction industry, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a P.E. license to lead industrial and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Revit and AutoCAD, crucial for developing construction documents in the food and beverage industry and warehousing sector.
In this role, you'll oversee project teams, serve as Engineer of Record, and manage all aspects of mechanical engineering from design to implementation. Your expertise will be vital in problem-solving, client communication, and mentoring junior staff while ensuring project success.

Focus:
- Oversee development of construction documents for industrial and commercial projects
- Support and guide drafting/design/engineering staff throughout project phases
- Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) on projects
- Perform calculations, build mechanical models, and develop specifications
- Oversee and assist in drawing production
- Conduct site visits and collaborate with clients
- Provide mentorship and training to staff engineers
- Coordinate projects through permitting process with local authorities
- Work within multi-discipline teams to ensure overall project coordination.
Skill Set:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Master's degree preferred
- P.E. license with mechanical focus.
- Minimum 5 years professional experience as a mechanical engineer in related field. Experience in food and beverage, cold storage, or warehousing industries is preferred.
- Proficiency in both Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience with HVAC, piping systems, and associated industry standards. Design experience with boiler systems, glycol and/or ammonia refrigeration systems, and emissions control equipment is preferred.
- Familiarity with applicable mechanical, plumbing, fuel gas, fire protection, refrigeration, energy design, and building codes.
- Working knowledge of architectural and fire prevention codes related to life safety planning
- Experience with Trane trace software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
