Job Title: Cost Accountant

Location: Murphy, NC

Duration: 12 Months of Contract + High Possibility of Extension


Shift: Standard day time hours

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • This role is responsible for the major reporting and analytical duties for our company.
  • The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented professional with inherent leadership qualities, strong analytical ability and the attention to detail to ensure accurate reporting in all areas.
  • Monitor, maintain, and analyze product and project costs in LN ERP system.
  • Assist in the maintenance and review of Estimates at Completion (EAC) and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Help to ensure compliance with new revenue recognition standard ASC 606.
  • Work with key team members to analyze manufacturing, sales and general cost center variances; recommend improvements to efficiency and spending.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly closings, financial reporting and analysis.
  • Assist accounting team, as needed.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Business.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Fundamental understanding of accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA or CMA, a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Baan/LN.
