UpBeat Music Therapy Services provides professional and exceptional Music Therapy services to healthcare populations in Clark County, WA, and beyond. Our mission is to use the power of music to improve the lives of our clients. We work with a variety of individuals and groups in a variety of populations, including those with dementia, mental health conditions, developmental disabilities, and at the end-of-life. We provide primarily on-site services wherever our clients are located, including in their homes, Adult Family Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, Memory Cares, Day Programs, and area hospitals.


Role Description

This is a contracting/part-time on-site role for a Music Therapist, with the potential for growth into various roles within the agency. The Music Therapist will be responsible for providing music therapy sessions to individual and/or group clients with mental health conditions, developmental disabilities, dementia, physical disabilities, and end-of-life concerns. The Music Therapist will also be responsible for developing treatment plans, documenting progress notes, and collaborating with other members of the treatment team.


Qualifications

  • Music Therapy expertise and certification
  • Proficient in a variety of musical skills
  • Experience working with, or willingness to become trained to work with, clients with a variety of needs
  • Ability to develop and implement treatment plans, and document progress notes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Therapy, culminating in an MT-BC.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
  • Interest in community outreach and education is a plus
