Our client is the first independent system operator (ISO) in the United States and one of nine ISOs in North America. Our client works with the Texas Reliability Entity (TRE), one of eight regional entities within the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) that coordinate to improve reliability of the bulk power grid. Our client is a membership-based 501(c) nonprofit corporation, and its members include consumers, electric cooperatives, generators, power marketers, retail electric providers, investor-owned electric utilities (transmission and distribution providers), and municipally owned electric utilities.


Job Description:

  • Shipping & Receiving Specialist
  • Coordinates and schedules deliveries and pick-ups with freight/delivery services
  • Completes and retains critical information to correctly identify and track shipments
  • May load or unload trucks with supplies, equipment and other packages which arrive on company dock
  • Inspects incoming and outgoing packages for proper and accurate shipping documentation and absence of damage
  • Maintains proper inventory of packaging materials and shipping forms
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk daily for extended periods and repetitive use of hands
  • Must have ability to carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Has basic skills in an analytical, technical or operational process. Acquires job skills and learns standard policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
  • Works on assignments that are routine in nature. Refers difficult or less routine issues to supervisor or higher-level workers for assistance.
  • Works within clearly defined operating procedures. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Works under close supervision.
