CNC Machinist

Job Description:

Modern Plastics is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Router to join our team at our Shelton, Connecticut facility. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art, air-conditioned warehouse with a company committed to excellence and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate CNC Machines: Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines with precision and accuracy. Prior experience with CNC routers is highly beneficial.

- Blueprint Reading: Accurately interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure parts meet exact standards.

- Quality Control & Inspection: Perform thorough inspections of machined parts to ensure they meet or exceed quality standards. Familiarity with precision measurement tools and inspection processes is required.

- Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of detail in all work to ensure consistency and accuracy in part production.

- Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

- Experience: Proven experience operating CNC machinery, with a preference for experience with CNC routers.

- Blueprint Reading: Must have strong skills in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

- Quality Control: Experience with quality control processes and the ability to use precision measuring tools.

- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery or production processes.
