The Art Director works with the client Creative Director to conceptualize all visual output for projects, establishing the visual language and setting the tone and animation style. This position helps to guide execution of all projects and leads a high functioning team of designers and presentation associates to deliver the highest quality product.


Responsibilities

  • Consult with client Creative Director and other designer to create and design high-quality visuals and initiatives.
  • Conceptualize and execute a variety of high-quality collateral for design client, including print, web, event and Firmwide materials, across several channels.
  • Manage the workflow and performance of the creative services team, including providing ongoing feedback and review process when applicable.
  • Conceive and design storyboards for animation/video requests and moodboards for higher-level, conceptual initiatives.
  • Supervise design team and others involved in creative process from initial concept to project delivery, assuring brand standards are met and align with creative brief.
  • Responsible for ensuring brand consistency, while providing quality assurance of team deliverables.
  • Scope all incoming requests for accurate content, allocate designer resource(s) and create delivery timeline.
  • Be comfortable regularly presenting to client team, as a summary of team efforts and completed projects.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Art, Design, or Animation
  • 8+ years' experience in Art, Design, or Animation
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite programs: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat.
  • Preferred Experience using: Adobe AfterEffects and Premier Pro
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to prioritize under tight time constraints and to work successfully in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective interpersonal skills across teams and when liaising with clients
  • Knowledge of digital platforms, including online, mobile, tablet and other emerging technologies
  • Knowledge of designing for print and print formats
  • Possession of superior presentation skills - both in creation and verbalization
