ERP Administrator

Reports to the Director - Data Services

Job Description - Summary

The ERP Administrator is responsible for maintaining the ERP and related services, database maintenance, user accounts, document imaging, and other related systems. Other responsibilities include analyzing business needs as well as creating and providing tools to improve user processes. This position is expected to provide general technical support to keep the organization’s services running efficiently. This position will have direct access to confidential information that should not be disclosed directly or indirectly to others for any other purpose than to perform the essential duties of this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Manage daily operations of the ERP systems.

· Ensures all related technology policies are followed as related to ERP systems.

· Ensures all NCDIT state standards are met and followed as related to ERP systems, user access, and procedures.

· Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress for ERP systems updates and related projects.

· Evaluate and recommend changes to the current and future EPR system requirements to meet organizational needs. Oversee user account creation and tracking for all systems through Active Directory.

· Maintain related servers locally and in Amazon Web Services or Azure Cloud.

· Install and configure updates for the ERP system while minimizing downtime during normal business hours.

· ERP patch testing, installation, and implementation.

· Maintain production and test ERP environments.

· Support other database solutions, including but not limited to in-house developed solutions, document imaging, reporting tools, etc.

· Maintain and update documentation of all systems and related tasks by creating how-to manuals to supplement support documentation.

· Assist with data and audit reporting.

· Train users and provide user technical support, if needed.

· Oversee audits of security access to the database resources.

· Work with Network Administrator to ensure systems are secure in our cloud and local infrastructure.

· Implement and maintain backup solutions for the ERP systems.

· Lead various related Technology Services projects to move towards a more integrated environment.

· Extract and manipulate data from ERP systems as requested for use

· Use Informer and other reporting tools to create customized reports.

· Maintain a clean and safe work area.

· Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of virtualized application server environments.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and client/server environments.
  • Familiar with network administration.
  • Must demonstrate a quality and results-driven approach.

  • Must be an excellent troubleshooter.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to write technical documentation.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

· Possess and demonstrate the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

· Possess and demonstrate the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

· Possess and demonstrate the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers/administrators, faculty, staff, students, and the general public.

Required Qualifications:

· Associate Degree in Network Technology or related field.

Three or more years working in an education environment using College ERP. Three to five years of experience with ERP Systems.

· Experience with ERP systems; Colleague or Banner.

· Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in network technology or related field.

· Three or more years working in an education environment using College ERP.

· Three to five years of experience with ERP Systems.

· Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred
