Sr. Full Stack Engineer

At VibeIQ, we pioneer the future of digital collaboration with our innovative suite of apps built specifically for product teams. Our mission is to allow companies that design, manufacture, or sell products to work more effectively, enable a more sustainable work life balance, and reduce their impact on the environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team focused on building collaborative productivity apps. You will work our application from end-to-end to take on a variety of challenges — from optimizing data-intensive frontend pipelines or designing highly scalable and robust architecture, to troubleshooting a bug and diving into AWS logs.

In this role, you’ll be supported by product managers and specialiced frontend and backend engineers to help shape the future of our platform, transforming the way companies collaborate on design and plan products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Develop and ship large-scale and highly-performant end-to-end features.
  2. Work at all levels of our stack: AWS, WebSockets, TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, DynamoDB.
  3. Drive systematic quality and performance improvements across our core systems and shared libraries.
  4. Influence and improve upon our software engineering standards, including code quality, code cleanliness, code reviews, continuous integration, and testing.
  5. Show initiative and ownership in achieving goals, improving processes and solutions.
  6. Help mentor and guide other software engineers by sharing knowledge and expertise to promote innovation and a culture of learning.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  1. At least 6+ years of professional experience building user-facing products as a full stack developer.
  2. A track record of designing reliable and highly scalable systems with heavy traffic.
  3. Knowledge and experience working with modern frontend frameworks (e.g. Angular or React), RESTful APIs, and microservice-based architectures.
  4. Strong problem-solving skills. You can effectively research problems, weigh approaches, and design complex systems that span the entirety of our application.
  5. Proactive communication and relationship-building skills. You care about learning, growing, and helping others to do the same.
  6. Comfort with taking ownership and ramping up quickly at a young startup.

BONUS POINTS

  1. Experience working on real-time collaborative tooling apps.
  2. Mastery with any part of our technology stack: AWS, TypeScript, WebSockets, Angular, Node.js, or DynamoDB.
  3. Experience with automated testing.
  4. Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  5. A strong intuition for UX. You can identify when something feels off and improve upon it.
  6. An interest in security.
