POSITION SUMMARY:

The Events and Donor Engagement Manager will be responsible for planning and executing events, including the annual gala, and building lasting relationships with donors. This role offers significant growth potential, with opportunities to take on expanded responsibilities in donor engagement, event strategy, and fundraising. We're looking for a proactive individual eager to make an impact and grow alongside our organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Event Planning and Execution: 

  • Organize fundraising events, starting with the annual gala in March. 
  • Coordinate logistics and ensure events run smoothly. 
  • Develop innovative ideas to enhance donor experience and event outcomes. 

Donor Engagement: 

  • Serve as a key point of contact for donors, fostering meaningful connections. 
  • Collaborate with the Donor Database Manager to identify key donor segments for outreach. 
  • Follow up with donors post-events to maintain and grow relationships. 

Professional Growth Opportunities: 

  • Opportunity to develop leadership skills by taking ownership of donor engagement strategies. 
  • Expand responsibilities to include fundraising planning and execution. 
  • Potential to step into a broader fundraising leadership role as the organization grows. 

Collaboration & Innovation: 

  • Partner with the Donor Database Manager to ensure cohesive donor communication strategies. 
  • Work closely with the Director to innovate new event formats and donor engagement initiatives. 

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, nonprofit management, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience in event planning or donor engagement. 
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. 
  • Familiarity with South Asian culture and communities. 
  • A passion for social impact and a desire to contribute to a growing nonprofit organization.
