Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an Avionics Engineer to join their team This position is located in SeaTac, Washington.


Duties:

  • Develop, prototype, and implement avionics projects and tasks in compliance with airworthiness directives, Federal Aviation Regulations, and OEM service bulletins
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure the availability of work instructions, manuals, drawings, and materials for project execution
  • Investigate aircraft reliability and maintenance issues to identify and implement corrective actions for improved avionics performance
  • Provide engineering support, including technical data, processes, and procedures, to maintain aircraft airworthiness
  • Assist in troubleshooting avionics systems and collaborate with OEMs to address recurring aircraft issues
  • Establish and prioritize projects, objectives, and tasks with the manager, and update schedules and change requests
  • Develop preventative maintenance procedures and implement reliability improvements to enhance safety, reduce costs, and improve fleet maintenance
  • Conduct all responsibilities with professionalism, integrity, resourcefulness, and alignment with the company’s values
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace or electrical engineering, or equivalent training/experience
  • 3+ years of experience in fleet engineering, supporting operation on in-service aircraft
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FAA regulations and oversight functions related to aircraft operating airworthiness certificates
  • Practical and theoretical expertise in aircraft avionics and systems
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to identify and address fleet issues and trends
  • Proven ability to meet project deadlines and make confident, self-directed decisions
  • Exceptional communication skills, including effective verbal collaboration with teams and formal executive presentations, as well as clear and concise written documentation
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
