Biomedical Equipment Technician

Stair Biomedical Inc. is seeking to fill a Per Diem Biomedical Equipment Technician position.

Hours would be scheduled based on operational need with minimum of 8 hours to 20 hours per week.

Work would be onsite in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area performing PM inspections and repairs on medical equipment. Pay offered will be based on experience and Per Diem employee would be provided with 1099 Form

at the end of the year.


EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation


EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and regulatory requirements
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to identify basic issues, problems and take the appropriate action as required by manufacturers specifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Manual dexterity required with ability to use common hand and power tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely move large/bulky equipment
  • Ability to push/pull equipment to and from carts, and the ability to kneel, stand, bend, and reach during equipment repair/maintenance
  • Experience using biomedical test equipment and electrical safety testing
