Role Summary and Responsibilities: 

 

We are seeking a VP, Engineering to ensure that the product vision is realized through excellence in execution. As a key member of the engineering organization and product development leadership team, you will have the opportunity to shape our team's practices and culture. We are looking for a candidate that possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and is excited by the challenges that come along with building a category creating healthtech solution. 

 

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions: 

 

  • Recruit, develop and manage top engineering talent capable of delivering high quality, reliable and effective technology 
  • Coach our engineering teams to become better versions of themselves. Help develop their careers, and ensure they are working on projects which engage them, challenge them and keep them excited to come into work every day 
  • Develop and drive standards to ensure quality standards are met throughout the stack 
  • Help your teams understand product vision and walk in the clinician’s shoes, delivering features that make experiences with CareAbout Health programs seamless, effective, and efficient 
  • Work closely with your peers on the leadership team to define and communicate the company's direction, and to help tackle the company's biggest problems 
  • Design, implement, and monitor all operations and key performance metrics to maintain operational efficiency for the engineering teams 
  • Understand and collaborate on the complete product lifecycle from concept to execution 
  • Recommend new technology and ideas to improve development life cycle 
  • Define optimal engineering organization structure to support growth and development while promoting delivery flexibility of the group 

 

 

Qualifications 

 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a technology leader, with 8 years of experience in an engineering management role. 
  • Track record of attracting, hiring, managing, developing, and aligning an Engineering department including managing through engineering managers and directors. 
  • Experience partnering with product leadership to deliver increasing stakeholder value while not directly controlling the work of the engineering teams.  
  • Consistent track record of working across team boundaries to deliver fabulous user experiences across the full stack.  
  • Can build, deliver, and maintain a multi-year technology roadmap that supports the company vision and product roadmap. 
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. 
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. 
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influence skills. 
  • Commitment to results; is focused and results driven. 
  • Action oriented and innovative; able to translate broad goals into achievable steps. 
  • A commitment to quality that incorporates not only the immediate requirements of a result to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs and function flawlessly. 

 

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. 

 

Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
