The Role

You will run social media accounts for established and growing nonprofits, emerging social enterprises, and dynamic political, business, and policy leaders.

Responsibilities

 

  • Plan, create, and post content for multiple clients – as well as for Half Street Group – across varied social media platforms.
  • Generate and develop creative content for organic social media campaigns.
  • Coordinate closely with Account Directors and Account Executives to understand client goals, audiences, key messages, and performance indicators.
  • Stay aware of and educated on emerging trends in digital and social media and offering clients and Half Street Group with recommendations on new approaches and/or platforms.
  • Analyze performance and reach of varied accounts and proactively develop strategies for growth.


Qualifications

 

All members of the Half Street Group team share a passion for working with clients who make a positive, progressive social impact in their communities. The Social & Digital Media Specialist will also have:


  • 1-3 years of experience – which may include internships or high-level college classroom experience – in content creation, social media, and PR/communications, preferably in public policy, mission-oriented, or campaign industries.
  • Excellent writing skills, including a proven ability to write for varied platforms.
  • Ability to execute social media strategies on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other emerging technologies.
  • Ability to learn key CMS and analytical tools, including Sprout Social, Meta Ads Manager, Meltwater, and Google Analytics.
  • Experience working with Adobe, Canva and SquareSpace design tools.
  • Excellent judgment and interpersonal skills.


Additional consideration will be given for:


·      Spanish fluency

·      Video and editing skills


Location


This is a full-time, hybrid position based at our South Main Street office in downtown Providence, RI.


Salary Range

 

$48,000 to $60,000, depending upon experience.
