Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers.
  • Oversee and perform system updates, patches, and regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, and proactively resolve issues.
  • Design and implement advanced system security measures, including firewalls, SELinux, and secure SSH configurations.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and use configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) to streamline administration tasks.
  • Manage virtualization platforms (e.g., KVM, VMware) and ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Architect and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Create and maintain detailed system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and change management logs.
  • Participate in and lead on-call rotations, providing expert-level support during emergency situations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our systems remain cutting-edge.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator, with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and advanced scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
  • In-depth understanding of networking concepts and services (DNS, DHCP, NFS, SMTP, SNMP).
  • Extensive experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
